1. What methods of payment are accepted?

All payments are processed through the secure PayPal-network where Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Debit cards, eCheck and PayPal account bank transfers are accepted.

*PayPal is free for buyers. You are not required to sign up or join PayPal in order to complete your payment.

*You can choose to pay using your credit card, debit card or PayPal account.

4. Is my transaction secure?

YES, the PayPal network uses high-end, industry leading fraud prevention methods to ensure safe and secure transactions as well as to protect the privacy of our customers. PayPal allows you to make secure purchases without revealing your credit card number or financial information to the merchant. 5. What Currency do you accept?

All product prices are listed in U.S. Dollars. During checkout your payment is automatically converted, so the U.S. $ equivalent of your purchase amount is withdrawn from your card. If you would like to use a currency converter click Here.

6. What Countries do you ship to?

J'ano ships primarily to Canada, the United States, Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Special arrangements can be made to ship to countries outside of these regions. If you would like to place an order and the shipping address is outside continental North America, please fill out and submit the International Order Form.

7. How does shipping work?

The primary method of shipment is through FedEx and Canada Post. In order to help you save on shipping fees. J'ano charges a flat rate shipping and handling fee of only $10.00. The shipping and handling charge is displayed in the shopping cart during checkout and is subject to change. All orders are shipped within 24-48 hours after the order is placed, and depending upon final destination:

Canada and the United States: packages are delivered within a total of 3 to 8 business days from the date the order was placed (within Canada and the US).

All other Countries: allow 14-20 business days for all other locations . If you have received an email that includes your FedEx tracking number click to track your order.

*For shipments within Canada and the U.S special requests can be made to have orders shipped via FEDEX over night mail. To Place a rush order please contact the Customer Care Department and speak live to one of our representatives 1- 416-850-3250.

*Note that shipments outside Canada may be subject to custom fees and import duties. Custom fees and import duties are always the responsibility of the purchaser. Please contact your local customs department for more information.

8. Can I order items as gifts?

YES, you can order a gift for someone else and have it mailed to the address of your choice. You can further customize your order to include Gift Wrapping and a Greeting Card for only $4.00 CAD. The 'Customize My Order' option is located directly below the Item Price . Simply click on the Customize My Order- "add to cart button" to receive these additional services. During checkout you will have the option to include the message that you would like written in your greeting card.

9. How do I purchase a gift Certificate?

If you're in a rush or not sure which item would make the best gift you can simply purchase a Gift Certificate. They are available in $25 denominations and you can choose how many you would like to purchase during checkout. Please note that you can choose to receive the gift certificate through your email address or send it directly to the email of the person you've purchased it for. If that is the case also provide their email address during checkout.

*Note that no shipping charges are applied on a gift certificate purchase since you will receive it via email. If however you would prefer to receive your gift certificate by post mail, simply contact the customer care department to have this arranged. Click to purchase a Gift Certificate.

9-b. How Do I use/Redeem a Gift Certificate?

To redeem a gift certificate simply browse through our website and choose the item(s) that you would like to purchase. Then go to the Redeem a Gift Certificate page and provide the;

  • Item Number and Quantity
  • Your Contact Information
  • The Gift Certificate Validation Code

An email will be sent to you within 24 business hours, confirming that we have received your order. If your order amount is greater than the $ value of your gift certificate the email will also include a link that guides you to our shopping cart where you can pay for the remaining balance via the secure PayPal network. If your final purchase amount is smaller than the $ value of your gift certificate you will be notified of the remaining balance which can be used at anytime. Click to redeem your gift certificate.

(*J'ano is pleased to announce that there will no longer be an expiration date on any gift certificates purchased as of January 1st 2007.)

10. Does J'ano cater to Corporate or Business orders?

Yes, we are pleased to provide products to companies making purchases as gift items to their employees etc. Companies will also have the option of using their business shipping accounts through FedEx, UPS and Canada Post etc. to cover shipping fees. You will be required to fill out an order form in order to process such requests. J'ano is also pleased to provide purchase discounts on bulk orders. (Please contact the Customer Care department for specific details.)

11. Will I Receive A Receipt For My Transaction?

Yes, at the end of your transaction you can print the successful transaction page, in addition an electronic receipt will be immediately emailed to the address that you supplied during checkout. Please print and retain both copies for your records.

12. What if I Receive a Damaged Product?

a.) Manufacturing Damage/Defect

To ensure that you are happy with your purchase we at J'ano constantly strive to provide you with the finest jewellery and accessories and we can attest for the durability and quality of our products. However if you receive any product that has manufacturing defects, know that we will make every effort to rectify the situation, please see below for instructions on the exchange and Return_Policy.

b.) What if my product was damaged during shipping?

Note that J'ano is not responsible for items that are damaged during shipping, since that is the sole responsibility of the shipping provider. However, at J'ano we ensure that every design that we send out is properly packaged and fully insured. You should take comfort in knowing that we will be here to assist you as much as possible if such a situation occurred.

13. What if my shipment is late or delayed?

To ensure total customer satisfaction we ship all packages via FedEx Ground and we also provide you with a tracking number for your package. To check the status of you shipment simply visit the FEDEX website and type in your tracking number, you can also track your package by calling toll free 1-800-GO-FedEx. Please Contact the Customer Care Department if you require further assistance or if you lost/misplaced your FedEx tracking number.

14. How are Taxes applied?

Taxes are based on the Ontario, Canada Tax System, during checkout the tax rate is applied to the sum of the items plus shipping and handling.

*PST (Provinvial Sales Tax) is a provisional tax for Ontario. PST rate is currently 8%.

15. Do I have a guarantee on my purchase?/Is there a Return & Exchange Policy?

YES, in order to keep our customers satisfied and maintain the quality of our products. J'ano offers a 14 Day Risk Free Return & Exchange Guarantee. This guarantee is effective and applies;

  • If the product received is damaged due to manufacturing defects.
  • If the item you receive is not what you ordered.
  • If you would like to exchange your unused original purchase for another item.
  • If you would like to return an (unused item with the J'ano product tag still securely attached to it) for a full refund of the purchase price. (*Note that shipping fees are not refunded.)
 

In order for a return/exchange to be processed you must return the purchased item(s) within 14 days of the delivery date. In addition;

1. Please enclose a note, stating your reason for needing a replacement/exchange and include your name, mailing address and your "J'ano Detailed Certificate". If the item is faulty please give a full description of the fault and place the package, in its original presentation gift box.

2. Please ensure that you keep the free presentation gift box sent with your order, as all returns must include the gift box. If the gift box is not kept and an item is returned to us without the gift box, we reserve the right to not re-issue a free customized gift box.

3. A replacement will only be shipped to you or a refund will only be issued once we have received the damaged or wrong item in the time and manner specified above.

*Shipping is the responsibility of the purchaser both to return the defective/wrong item and to receive the replacement item. For your protection we recommend that you securely package the item(s) and use a recorded-delivery service. All replacement items should be returned to the mailing address stated in the Contact Us Page.

*Due to hygiene regulations, no refunds or exchanges are issued for pierced earrings.

16. Does J'ano provide wholesale service to retailers ?

YES, if you are a retail company interested in carrying J'ano designs at your store location, please fill out the wholesale catalog request form by clicking here. Upon approval we will provide you with access to the complete catalog and wholesale pricing information.
